How Often Should Workplace First Aid Kits Be Checked?
Regular first aid kit checks help workplaces identify used, missing, damaged or expired supplies before they are needed.
Check after use and regularly
Safe Work Australia's Model Code of Practice: First Aid in the Workplace recommends that first aid kits are checked after each use or, if a kit has not been used, at least once every 12 months. Items that have been used should be replaced as soon as practicable.
What should be checked?
First aid kit checks should confirm that required items are present, in working order and within their expiry dates where applicable. Sterile products should remain sealed and supplies should not show signs of damage or deterioration.
First aid requirements depend on your workplace
The number, location and contents of workplace first aid kits and other first aid facilities should reflect factors such as the type of work performed, workplace hazards, the size and location of the workplace and the number and needs of people who may require access to first aid.

First Aid Room Checks

First Aid Room-only bookings do not require five first aid kits. First aid stock and kits forming part of the designated room are included within the room check. Separate kits elsewhere within the workplace are treated as individual kit checks. This is a stock and readiness service and not a formal WHS compliance audit or certification.
AED Readiness Checks
$55 including GST per AED
On-site visual AED readiness checks for workplaces in Canberra and Queanbeyan.

First Aid Room-only and AED-only bookings are not subject to the five-kit minimum. For combined visits with fewer than five separate kit checks, we will confirm the applicable visit pricing before booking.

The Enzo Medix MODULATOR Series Softpack Kit Management Solution is available for $160 upfront. An optional payment plan is available at $20 per month for 12 months ($240 total). First aid kits initially purchased from Enzo Medix include up to three complimentary kit checks within the first three years after purchase. Replacement consumables remain payable.

You do not need to book an on-site service to purchase replacement supplies. Enzo Medix can provide corporate pricing for first aid consumables used across workplace kits, First Aid Rooms and other first aid locations, with Australia-wide delivery available.
Corporate pricing is prepared according to the products, quantities, delivery location and expected ordering requirements provided.

Is a First Aid Room check a WHS compliance audit?
No. The Enzo Medix First Aid Room service is a stock and readiness check. We review first aid supplies and identify products requiring replenishment, but the service is not a formal WHS compliance audit, certification or an assessment of whether a workplace is legally required to provide a First Aid Room.
Can I combine First Aid Room, first aid kit and AED checks?
Yes. You can request combined workplace servicing and tell us how many separate first aid kits, designated First Aid Rooms and AEDs require checking. First Aid Room-only and AED-only bookings are not subject to the five-kit minimum. If your combined service includes fewer than five separate first aid kits, Enzo Medix will confirm the applicable visit pricing before booking.
Do you provide AED readiness checks in Canberra?

Checks can include the status indicator, visible condition, electrode pad expiry, available battery information and accessibility or signage where applicable. What is the $160 initial modular kit setup?
The $160 upfront option includes the Enzo Medix MODULATOR Series Softpack Kit Management Solution, providing a structured, colour-coded workplace first aid kit system.
Can I choose the monthly payment option instead?
Yes. The optional payment plan is $20 per month for 12 months, totalling $240. Alternatively, the kit setup can be purchased upfront for $160.
